City reports progress on Columbia Street water/wastewater project and Town Creek interceptor

Matt Leppler briefed the board on two major capital projects: the Columbia Street water/wastewater project and the Town Creek interceptor wastewater improvement. Leppler said Columbia Street involves more than 6,000 linear feet of water and wastewater lines and is proceeding ahead of schedule and within budget. The Town Creek interceptor includes upgrading roughly 4,000 linear feet of 36-inch wastewater line to increase conveyance capacity to the treatment plant connection at Jack Gordon Way.
"This project involves over 6,000 linear feet of water and wastewater lines," Leppler said. He told the board the Town Creek interceptor is a $2,700,000 project and is on schedule and within budget. Leppler provided hard-copy maps of capital projects and developments and offered to follow up with any board members who wanted site-specific details.
