Superintendent: Toys for Tots drive a success; several athletes sign collegiate letters

Superintendent Brenda Sanford told trustees that the 2nd Annual Red Oak ISD Toys for Tots Drive Live on Fox 4 on Dec. 10 at Red Oak High School "was a great success" and that "The community support was overwhelming." She thanked board members, staff and students who participated.
Sanford also announced recent student-athlete signings: Montaz ‘Taz’ Williams (Baylor University, football), Charles Taplin (Michigan State University, football), Arvis Battle (Texas State University, football) and Jada Edwards (Baylor University, track and field). She closed the district update by announcing Winter Break: the district will be closed Dec. 20 through Jan. 3; staff return Jan. 6 and students return Jan. 8.
