President Grant read the statutorily required disclosure under Government Code §54953, saying the agreement runs from March 24, 2025 until either a permanent chief business official is hired or June 30, 2025; the interim official's weekly salary is $6,000, and the contract does not provide vacation or health and welfare benefits, though necessary expenses approved by the superintendent will be reimbursed.
Trustees moved and seconded the agreement and approved it by roll call (5-0). President Grant welcomed Van Bleck and said the district will rely on the interim chief business official to guide budget work during potentially “very interesting” budget times.
