Meeting notes show event workers are currently paid $20 cash, and staff said recruitment remains difficult. Participants proposed alternatives including a time-exchange system where staff sign up for a number of event hours in exchange for a personal day and prioritizing support staff for those opportunities.
The personnel committee will review event-worker pay and potential non-cash incentives as part of its follow-up work. No new pay rates or policies were adopted at the Feb. 17 meeting.
