Board adopts new graduate profile outlining five competencies for TK–12

Rodriguez said the profile grew from two years of engagement with educational partners, including CSEA, NTA leadership, school leaders and counselors, and listed the five competencies and associated sub-bullets. He said the next step is to convert the document into a flipbook, publish it on the district website and distribute it to school sites for teacher use.
Trustees moved to approve the profile; the roll call showed carriage of the motion with Trustee Hardin recorded as voting "No" while other trustees voted in favor. The board did not attach immediate budget or staffing changes to the approval; staff will work on marketing and monitoring details.
