The Sherborn Conservation Commission opened and approved a Notice of Intent for 55 Page Farm Road, where applicants Matthew and Samara Brenton proposed deck and patio repairs and modest expansion to improve structural safety for their young children while limiting additional impervious surface within the 0–50 ft buffer.
Dave Gordon of Thunderchase Environmental and Lucas Machado of Curb's Enterprise described a design that increases the 0–50 ft buffer work area from 542 to 654 square feet (a 112-square-foot increase), but only 54 square feet of that increase is new impervious hardscape; the rest is deck extension on Sono tube footings and bluestone path replacement. The applicants proposed 102 square feet of native mitigation plantings (Shadblow serviceberry, New England asters, purple coneflower, and wild geranium), compost filter sock installation before ground disturbance, placement of four wetland marker plaques, and as-built plan submission for certificate of compliance. The commission approved the project 4-0 with standard monitoring and survival-rate conditions.
