Committee members reviewed recent youth outreach and upcoming tours tied to ECAHF programming. The Emerald Isle Parks & Recreation youth tour on June 24 was described as successful and engaging. An Onslow County Parks and Recreation Teen Camp tour is scheduled for July 15 (about 24–25 students aged 12–15); presenters will emphasize activities suitable for older participants such as NC State collaborations, FRC East demonstrations, flight simulators and drone displays.
Twin Rivers YMCA plans to bring roughly 120 third-grade students on Aug. 5, split into two groups of about 60 with station rotations; the committee discussed beginning with a group welcome and a simulator demonstration projected for the full assembly, while acknowledging it may be impossible for every child to individually use the simulator. Mary Beth Fennell will coordinate equipment and additional volunteers with FRC East, and members stressed the need to recruit a significant number of volunteers for large visits.
