Staff told the committee that overall revenues and other funds were higher than the prior period, which the report characterized as a positive trend. Human Service Administrator Julia Sprinkle said the low percentage in the drug & alcohol line "could be caused due to number of patients in inpatient facilities," offering a program-level explanation for that variance.
Committee members reviewed department-level details, including overtime, tax collections and debt service. The minutes record overtime pressure in specific departments and strong real-estate tax collections through April. The committee did not take any new formal budget actions at this meeting, but members asked staff to continue monitoring trends and return with updates as needed.
