Superintendent announces Sac State partnership guaranteeing admission for district graduates

Superintendent Castillo told trustees the district has secured a new partnership with California State University, Sacramento, in which Sac State will guarantee admission and automatic enrollment to students graduating from Natomas Unified high schools.
Castillo said the district will publicize the opportunity and celebrate the new arrangement. He also briefed trustees on literacy work this summer through the National Literacy Institute and distribution of early-literacy materials for TK–2 classrooms, and invited families to a back-to-school fair on Aug. 2 offering immunizations, a farmers market, and resources for technology and after-school programs.
