Administrators and student leaders report on programs, athletics and community service
Summary
Administrators presented discipline/school updates; the National Honor Society and activities directors reported community service, a digital-citizenship campaign and fall athletics results; Jack Moles of NRCSA briefed the board on supports for rural districts.
District administrators provided routine reports to the board: K–5 and high-school principals summarized instructional initiatives, continuous-improvement (CIP) work, parent-teacher conference turnout and teacher-evaluation activity. The packet includes CIP survey results and event dates noted by the elementary principal.
Student and activities reports highlighted National Honor Society service work (Memorial Day cemetery cleanup, youth-golf support, monthly meal deliveries and a Digital Citizenship campaign). Athletics reports list results and postseason information: football 6–1 and #11 on the NSAA D2 Wild Card leaderboard (first-round playoff scheduled for Oct. 23); volleyball 16–7 and #8 on the NSAA D2 Wildcard leaderboard; cross-country district qualifiers and upcoming state meet dates. Jack Moles, executive director of the Nebraska Rural Community Schools Association, provided an update on NRCSA services for rural districts.
