The Village of Granville's Department of Public Works will collect leaves and yard waste during October and November, the Village Board confirmed at its Sept. 8 meeting.
Residents may bag leaves in brown paper or clear plastic bags or rake them to the curb. Brush must be bundled in lengths not to exceed 4 feet; collection will occur on Mondays except for the Columbus Day weekend. The mayor noted that the leaf vacuum/box will be removed and replaced with the sander before winter, so the Monday before Thanksgiving will be the final day of leaf service.
The schedule is intended to help DPW crews complete pickup before winter preparations begin; residents with questions were asked to contact the DPW.
