Pedro Alaniz presented several instructional and technology purchases at the Aug. 27 meeting. The board approved purchase of 150 Chromebooks for Roma High School testing in the amount of $43,267.50. Trustees voted to purchase Age of Learning Math and Reading Academy site licenses for preK3–K at the elementary campuses and to renew Summit K12 for elementary and middle school campuses; each motion carried (6-0).
The board also approved a travel request from Roma High School band staff (Renteria and Mireles) for a trip to Florida from May 14–19, 2026; trustees approved the request (6-0). The meeting minutes note the Chromebook quantity, the purchase amount, the software renewals, and the band travel dates as recorded actions.
