Rockwall ISD board approves two elementary principals and director of special education

The Rockwall Independent School District Board of Trustees approved three personnel appointments during its April 14, 2025 regular meeting. Stan Britton moved to approve the recommended candidate as principal for Linda Lyon Elementary School; Dr. Sherry Packer seconded and the motion passed 7-0.
During the same meeting, Jim White moved to approve the recommended candidate as principal for Dorothy Smith Pullen Elementary School, with Grant DuBois seconding; that motion also carried 7-0. The board then approved the recommendation for Director of Special Education after a motion by Stan Britton and a second by Dr. Sherry Packer, recorded as passing 7-0. Superintendent Dr. John Villarreal was present for the meeting and the appointees will take their next steps as district employees per standard HR processes.
