Roma ISD approves interlocal agreement for SRO services and multi-jurisdictional MOU

The Roma ISD Board of Trustees voted to approve an interlocal agreement with the City of Roma to provide School Resource Officer services and authorized district administration to finalize the agreement, including any necessary revisions. The motion to approve was made by Karina Mascorro, seconded by Jesus Rios, Jr., and carried (6-0).
Separately, the board approved a memorandum of understanding among the City of Roma, City of Escobares and Starr County concerning communication between overlapping law enforcement agencies. The board authorized administration to finalize that agreement as well; Mary Lou G. Cruz moved to approve and Jaime Escobar seconded. The motion carried (6-0).
