Richland R‑I board approves salary schedule updates, classified pay increases and coaching pay change

The Richland R‑I Board of Education approved multiple salary‑related items for 2025–2026 at its June 18 meeting. Mr. Kevin Evans moved to approve the Certified Salary Schedule, and the motion passed 7–0. The board also approved a Classified Salary Schedule change that raises the 2nd Custodian position to $15 per hour and provides a $0.75 per hour increase to other classified staff; that motion was recorded as passing unanimously.
In addition, the board approved Extra Duty stipends and staff placement and revised the Coaching Salary Schedule by removing the "Per Team" designation so that coaching steps are applied per position rather than per team. All salary and stipend motions were seconded as recorded in the minutes and carried by recorded votes of 7 yeas and 0 nays.
