Kearney aldermen approve MARC “Connected Kearney” pedestrian and connectivity planning agreement

The Kearney Board of Aldermen unanimously approved Bill 46‑20‑24 on second reading to accept a MARC Planning Sustainable Places grant and enter the associated programming agreement.
Shelley Daniel, the city’s public works director, told the board the grant will be used to develop a pedestrian improvement plan and a long‑term citywide connectivity plan. "This plan will develop a pedestrian improvement plan and a long term citywide connectivity plan that connects seniors, youth, and others to daily resources," she said. The ordinance passed on a unanimous vote during the meeting.
