Superintendent Hannah Eastkins led the annual review of Internet policy 3096 (use of electronic services and networks), telling the board the review is required for e-rate federal funding and that no changes were necessary. "This is required for our e rate funding," Eastkins said, and the board acknowledged the policy as part of routine compliance.
On district finances, Eastkins explained the board typically preapproves June bills because there is no July meeting; she said the preapproval covers recurring payments such as utilities so the district can pay them in a timely fashion. A committee member moved to approve preauthorization to pay June bills, the motion was seconded and carried by voice vote.
