Superintendent Hannah Eastkins notified the board that one of the front entry pillars at the elementary school appears structurally unsound after what staff believe was a vehicle collision. She reported the district had Groundworks inspect the pillar and received an estimate that "It's gonna cost about $8,000 for that repair, but we have to do it."
Eastkins said she will review camera footage to try to determine when the damage occurred. No contractor contract or timeline beyond the estimate was decided during the meeting.
