Trout Lake council considers supporting levy to hire paid staff for volunteer fire department

The council agreed to explore conversations with TLFD about supporting a levy to fund a paid position. Daina Bambe warned that a lack of affordable housing in the area can affect long‑term services, citing that a DNR engine is no longer based locally in part because of limited applicants.
