Trout Lake council approves September minutes, sets election logistics

The Trout Lake Community Council approved its Sept. 2, 2025 meeting minutes and moved into preparations for the council election cycle during its Oct. 7 meeting at The Grange.
Joanna Turner moved to approve the minutes, Dave Wampler seconded and the council voted "all in favor." Council members recorded as present were Tom Binder, Daina Bambe, Dave Wampler, Joanna Turner, Pat Arnold, Travis Pearson, Jim Lambert and Aaron Schmid. Daina Bambe opened the meeting and reported "No changes" to the posted agenda before the vote.
The council identified positions #4 (Jim Lambert), #5 (Daina Bambe) and #6 (Aaron Schmid) as up for election this year. Joanna Turner said candidate interest statements have been received; Mary Morris is signing up volunteers to staff the election table. Pat Arnold will begin obtaining voter rolls and council members agreed they will staff the ballot box on election day. The council established a small working plan for short‑term election logistics but did not adopt additional formal policy at the meeting.
