School board seeks $983K in reversion funds for trailers to ease overcrowding

A school official told the meeting the previous transfer of unexpended bond or fund balance totaled about $1,332,978 and that the $983,075 figure is the refined year‑end amount being relied on once the county audit is final.

Staff described the trailers as a temporary measure; depending on site utilities and elevation tests the installation could take roughly 90 days up to about six months. "Those trailers would be temporary until we solve the bigger issue," a school official said. Supervisors asked for cost and utility details; staff said they would provide further specifics and reconcile any funding gaps with reserved construction funds if needed. The boards agreed to follow up with a small working group and revisit appropriation once the audit is complete.
