The board authorized FY26 contracts between Jackson County and four city public libraries — Bellevue, Maquoketa, Preston and Sabula — providing combined financial support of $113,330 for library services.
A supervisor said libraries are heavily used and encouraged residents to take advantage of their services. The board also set a public hearing for Sept. 2, 2025 at 9 a.m. to consider amendments to the FY25‑26 budget, approved the July 29 board minutes for publication and placed the county recorder's July fees ($39,807.20) on file. The board renewed a special Class C native wine license for Tabor Family Winery LLC (3570 67th Street, Baldwin) effective Aug. 7, 2025 through Aug. 6, 2026.
All motions on these consent items were moved, seconded and carried by voice vote.
