Conservation Committee says EV chargers arrive this week; CAC raises traffic concerns on Orchards on Hudson project

Mici Simonofsky, chair of the Conservation Advisory Committee (CAC), told the board the committee has been following traffic implications tied to the Orchards on Hudson project and that several CAC members were disappointed the Planning Board had not received a written DOT opinion addressing public traffic questions. Simonofsky said the CAC will continue to monitor connectivity and related planning decisions.
Simonofsky also reported that installation of EV chargers should commence on Sept. 23 or Sept. 24 and that the installer identified will use grants to complete installation at no cost to the town. The CAC plans to coordinate a ribbon-cutting ceremony with the Town Board in late October or early November and is organizing a 'Recycle, Reuse, Repurpose' Community Day of Giving with invited civic groups.
