Raymondville ISD proposes $53,300 starting teacher salary and HB2-aligned step increases

At the June 26, 2024 public hearing, Chief Financial Officer David Longoria outlined the proposed 2025–26 compensation plan for Raymondville ISD. The budget includes a proposed starting teacher salary of $53,300. Longoria said House Bill 2 mandates increases for teachers in the 3–4 year and 5+ year experience bands; the district proposes $4,000 for teachers with three to four years and $8,000 for teachers with five or more years of experience.
Longoria also noted that HB2 did not allocate funding for teachers with one to two years of experience, and the district is committing $1,700 for that band. The plan proposes 3.00% midpoint-based increases for clerical and paraprofessional staff, auxiliary employees and administrative/professional staff.
