Raymondville ISD proposes $31.56 million budget for 2025–26; tax rate estimate unchanged

The Raymondville Independent School District Board of Trustees held a public hearing June 26, 2024, during which Chief Financial Officer David Longoria presented a proposed fiscal year 2025–26 budget totaling $31,556,226. Longoria said the district prepared the plan under House Bill 2 and posted the preliminary budget and hearing notice on the district website before tonight’s meeting.
Longoria told trustees the budget planning process began in February and included meetings with campus principals, department heads and two board budget workshops. He said the district estimates the tax rate will be the same as the prior year at $0.98 per $100 of valuation and that the board will adopt a final rate in September after the Willacy County Appraisal District provides certified property values. The budget calls for adoption of the Food Service Fund, General Fund and Debt Service Fund.
