Trustees scramble to address broken kitchen exhaust fans ahead of village picnic

Mr. Conrath and Kirchoff told trustees that several exhaust fans in the new park kitchen had been "burnt up" since last year and might cause the health department to fail the facility during inspection before a planned picnic and fish fry. Mayor Pezze said he would call the health department early the next morning to seek guidance and, if necessary, find a contractor to install temporary approved fans; trustees discussed whether to hire an outside installer to guarantee compliance given ongoing sewer work and limited staff availability.
