Wellston board conducts executive session; selects Teacher Empowerment applicants and earlier hires adjunct science teacher
Summary
After an executive session Oct. 8 the board selected three applicants for the Teacher Empowerment Program (Brenda Prescott, Jessica Fish, Nicole Reeves). At the Sept. 11 meeting the board hired Brooke Crick as an adjunct middle school science teacher. Both actions were carried unanimously.
The Wellston Board of Education entered executive session Oct. 8 under 25 O.S. §307(B)(1) to discuss employment matters and returned to public session at 7:25 p.m. After reconvening the board voted to select Brenda Prescott, Jessica Fish and Nicole Reeves as the district’s applicants for the Teacher Empowerment Program; the motion by Brock Terrell carried 5–0.
Separately, at the Sept. 11 regular meeting the board voted to hire Brooke Crick as a middle school adjunct science teacher for the 2025–2026 school year; that motion was made by Brock Terrell and recorded as carried 5–0. The minutes show both actions but do not record individual employment terms or compensation in the public minutes.
