The Yadkinville Board of Commissioners on June 26 approved the town's fiscal year 2026-27 budget, which Manager Mike Koser said includes a 10% increase in water and sewer rates. Commissioner Chris Matthews moved to adopt the budget as presented; Commissioner Richie Parker seconded the motion and it passed unanimously.
Koser told the board that funds are available in the recreation category should the board decide to enhance Town Park. Commissioner Monta Davis-Oliver asked whether any public comments on the budget had been received; Koser said there were none. The board recorded the vote as unanimous and the budget takes effect per town procedures.
