Kincaid board appoints Gina Watson as trustee and hires part-time office worker

Later in the meeting, trustees discussed candidates for a part-time office position to assist Clerk Jayme and provide coverage when she is absent. After interviewing several applicants, the board recommended hiring Cassandra Marie Dees. Paso described Dees’ prior work in medical and office settings and said Dees planned to return to school. The board approved the hire effective the next workday at $16.50 per hour with no benefits other than required paid leave; Paso moved to hire and Broccardo seconded. The motion passed by voice vote ('All ayes').
