Board approves aeration system procurement; resident warns of maintenance, fish-kill risk

During public comment, CJ Vacker asked whether the board had discussed maintenance responsibilities and recurring chemical costs. He warned that applying certain algicides without proper management could strip oxygen from the pond and kill fish over time, and he urged the board to consider ongoing operating costs and maintenance plans before installation. The board did not develop a formal maintenance contract or long-term budget for pond treatment during the meeting; Paso said the donor asked only that bids be local and reasonable and that the village would secure multiple quotes by the end of August.
