Mayor Tony Pezze told trustees the dam inspection is due this year and presented a single estimate capped at $3,500. He said much of the work identified in the prior inspection has not been completed, and recommended trimming trees in the spillway and clearing debris so the inspector and contractors can better assess needed repairs.
Trustee Paso moved to accept the bid for the dam inspection and Trustee Jaeger seconded; the board approved the motion by voice vote ('All ayes'). Pezze said decisions about additional repairs (including a possible new boat ramp and replacing the RV-lot dump) would be paid from the lake fund and that the board could delay awarding larger repair contracts until the initial cleanup and estimates are completed.
