The Accomack County Board of Zoning Appeals approved a special-use permit to allow an accessory structure on a lot that currently lacks a primary dwelling at 20900 Bayside Road (parcel 76B-A-4).
Staff explained the request and recommended approval with four conditions: obtain required county permits, comply with the submitted plot plan, comply with relevant VDOT and Health Department regulations, and note that violation of conditions would render the special-use permit null and void. The board moved, seconded and approved the special-use permit with the staff-recommended conditions.
Staff noted the site includes overhead utilities and that any future conversion to a primary dwelling would require compliance with well and septic standards and building codes. The applicant may proceed with obtaining the permits and must allow inspections as required by the conditions.
