Justice of the Peace Ruben Lujan administered Officer Statements and the Oath of Office on May 21 for three trustees newly elected or re-elected to the San Elizario Independent School District board: Lorenzo Luevano (Place 1), Axel Lopez (Place 2) and Alexis Ann Tellez (Place 3). Trustee Alexis Tellez joined the board on the dais following the oath.
The swearing-in occurred during the special Board Budget and Instructional Workshop convened at 5:30 p.m. at the SEISD administration offices. No formal vote was recorded for the oath; the district minutes show the Oath and Officer Statements were obtained and the trustees took their places on the dais.
