Comal County issues proclamations for Soil & Water Stewardship Week and Children's Music and Art Day

The proclamation references the Texas State Soil and Water Conservation Board and the local Soil and Water Conservation District that serves Comal and Guadalupe counties; the court approved the proclamation following a motion and second.
The second proclamation recognized May 5, 2026 as Children’s Music and Art Instruction Day to mark the Jean and Sue McLain Community Arts Program’s 11th anniversary of providing free one-on-one instruction to elementary students. Commissioner Crownover noted other youth-music groups, including School of Rock, had been invited to participate. Program representatives invited the public to the May 5 recital at Saint John’s Episcopal Church at 5:30 p.m.
Both proclamations were approved by unanimous voice vote.
