The board read aloud a letter drafted for Shaftsbury and voted to send it; Steve Goodrich moved to send the allocation letter and David Post seconded the motion, which passed unanimously.
Board members said they plan to perform leak detection on their own system next year and discussed buying a de-chlorinator to use during hydrant flushing to avoid discharging chlorinated water into the environment. The superintendent noted a hitch-mounted flushing diffuser with dechlorination chamber is being considered as a best-practice mitigation.
