Connector through Tisbury Marketplace remains incomplete; Select Board to review easement
Summary
Cheryl Doble asked the Town to commit to an easement through Tisbury Marketplace to complete the Beach Road–Lagoon Pond Road connector approved in 2010, arguing the connection would improve bike safety; Town Administrator Joe LaCivita will raise the issue with the Select Board on Jan. 27.

Cheryl Doble presented a drawing of the Beach Road–Lagoon Pond Road connector route that was approved by Town Meeting in 2010 and said an easement through Tisbury Marketplace — required by MVC approvals — is still outstanding and necessary to provide a safe bicycle route that avoids the Five Corners intersection.
"Although an easement for the connector was a condition for both the Tisbury Marketplace and Safe Harbor projects at MVC, only the latter had progressed," CD said, and she told the Committee that the Tisbury Marketplace easement "needed the Town's commitment." Joe LaCivita agreed to review the issue with the Select Board at its Jan. 27 meeting and asked CD to provide supporting documentation.
The Committee did not vote on the matter but assigned a next step: CD will forward details to the Town Administrator for Select Board consideration. The discussion underscored a continued gap between earlier approvals and construction/compliance of required easements.
