Health Agent Drew Belsky said the property has an overdue mandatory upgrade for a failed system dating back to last May and that fines remain outstanding. The board approved delivery of a 14‑day upgrade notice, to be translated into Portuguese and served by the town constable, and authorized Belsky to pursue necessary legal steps, including seeking an administrative search warrant if the owners do not bring the system into compliance. Commissioner Malcolm Boyd moved to authorize the enforcement steps and Commissioner Dr. George Santos seconded; Chair Jeff Pratt called the roll and recorded all ayes.
Belsky told the board he will coordinate with the town administrator and town counsel and keep the board updated on next steps and any administrative or legal filings. The board expressed support for firm enforcement to achieve a timely upgrade.
