North Bennington board adopts Open Burn Ordinance

The Village of North Bennington adopted an Open Burn Ordinance at its July 7 meeting after trustees reviewed a draft previously circulated by the Planning Commission.
Kim Hall reviewed possible changes to the draft ordinance that had been sent to trustees in advance. Trustee Scott Creedy moved to adopt the Open Burn Ordinance; Trustee David Shaughnessy seconded and the motion carried.
Trustees also noted an action-item list tied to the Village Plan and said bylaw changes and short-term rental implementation remain on the commission's agenda.
