At its Aug. 6 meeting, the Starksboro Selectboard heard from resident Seph Huber, who "discussed selling up to 5 acres to the Town of Starksboro for sand and gravel." Town Administrator Amanda Vincent said she will investigate a 2006 sale record and is waiting for confirmation before the board pursues a formal review.
Vincent told the board it is likely the Planning Commission will have to hold another public hearing before the Selectboard could consider a finalized proposal. The board took no formal action on the sale proposal at the meeting; instead it directed the town administrator to research title and prior-sale details and return with findings at a later date.
