The Village of Maybrook was awarded $155,000 from Orange County’s CDBG program for ADA sidewalk and curb ramp improvements, Engineer Sean Hoffman told trustees on June 15. After opening bids, the village received a low (responsive) bid from GMC Construction Services for $117,645; the Board voted 4–0 to accept the low bid and move forward to contract execution and a preconstruction meeting with the county.
Hoffman explained that the bid included a base scope with additive options should grant funds remain, and that the county may have additional funds available for related drainage work later in the summer. The Board directed the clerk and engineer to schedule the contract signing and to notify residents of construction timing once the schedule is confirmed.
Motion and vote: Trustee Capozzoli moved, Trustee Treco seconded, and the Board accepted the low bid of $117,645 by GMC Construction Services, 4 Ayes, 0 Nays.
