Maybrook board sets June hearing on proposed water rate increase

Trustee William Giannico moved to set a public hearing on the proposed rate increase for June 15, 2026; Trustee William Treco seconded the motion, which passed 4–0. The board provided the numerical examples shown during the presentation (old rate $4.25 per 1,000 gallons; new rate $4.50 per 1,000 gallons), and indicated notices will be posted for the hearing. Formal adoption would occur only after the public hearing and any required notice procedures.
The hearing will be held at the Maybrook Government Center on June 15. Residents who want details on the calculation used or to comment on alternatives may do so at the hearing or by contacting the village clerk ahead of that date.
