At the May 4 meeting Mayor Dennis Leahy announced several upcoming community events and operations items for residents.
The Village will host a free Spring Shred Day on Friday, May 8 from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Maybrook Government Center. Hydrant flushing began April 20 and will continue daily between 8:00 AM and 3:00 PM through May 15; residents were advised to wash clothes after 4:30 PM to avoid discoloration. Deputy Mayor Charles Woznick is organizing the Memorial Day Parade and Service on Monday, May 25.
Clerk/Treasurer David Griffith reported the village received a $4,999 grant from Orange County Tourism to support fireworks. The board encouraged residents to take advantage of the services and watch village communications for details.
