Later in the meeting, the board convened in closed session under the Texas Open Meetings Act to discuss personnel matters; after reconvening, trustees approved the superintendent's recommendations on personnel, including employment, resignations, reassignments, leaves of absence and contract renewals on a motion from Mrs. Bernal that was seconded by Mr. Diaz.
