Central SD 51 to consider endorsing Vision 2030 blueprint for Illinois schools

Dale Heidbreder told the board he had been selected to represent the Central Illinois Valley Region on the working group that developed the Vision 2030 blueprint, and he recommended the board approve a resolution in support of Vision 2030 at the board’s Thursday meeting.
Board materials explained Vision 2030 “provides a roadmap to enhance K-12 public education through future-focused leaming, shared accountability, and predictable funding,” and that the blueprint was developed with input from more than 1,000 stakeholders and several statewide education organizations. Heidbreder framed the resolution as a way for local districts to show statewide support for the initiative.
