Center Cass SD 66 board reviews FY25 budget; superintendent says it meets referendum commitments

The Center Cass SD 66 Board of Education met at Prairieview Elementary School on Wednesday, Sept. 11, 2024, to hear a presentation of the proposed FY25 budget. Superintendent Dr. Wise presented the budget, which is available in the boardbook, and told the board the proposal addresses the district's priorities from the prior referendum.
Dr. Wise said, "this year's budget met all the commitments from the referendum, which were to provide personnel to meet students' needs, improve education through updated curriculum, fix systems and structural concerns of our facilities, and create a fund balance to improve financial health." Board President Liane Raso led the meeting and a roll call showed seven board members present. There was no public comment during the hearing. Christopher Esposito moved to adjourn; Tiffany Watson seconded and the motion passed unanimously, with the board adjourning at 6:30 p.m.
