The proposed improvement package for the Community Activity Center includes entrance and corridor renovations and a multi-court gym addition sized to hold three to four courts, support spaces and retractable bleachers. Brad Talbert, Recreation and Parks director, summarized the program elements and said the concept designs date from 2024.
Talbert described the multi-court space as flexible for basketball, volleyball, pickleball and events and noted support needs such as additional restrooms, locker rooms and mechanical space. He also identified potential second-floor program opportunities (meeting or fitness space) but cautioned the team had not completed detailed structural investigations and that cost and roofline decisions will proceed through design and community engagement.
