Florence board authorizes survey and appraisal for proposed land acquisition

In executive session on May 5 the Florence mayor and board authorized City Engineer Tim Parker to conduct a survey of proposed land for acquisition and directed Mayor Trey Gunn to obtain an appraisal for that property. Both actions were made at the City Attorney Bobby Lingold's recommendation and carried with recorded aye votes from the named aldermen.
Alderman Brian Grantham moved and Alderman Mason Herrin seconded the survey authorization; Alderman Grantham moved and Alderman Brent Sistrunk seconded the appraisal authorization. The minutes record unanimous recorded votes for each motion. The minutes do not identify the parcel or include an appraisal scope or survey schedule.
