During public comment the board heard multiple operational concerns from residents. Ruth Howe asked who cleans the Geiger bathrooms and whether there had been further discussion about a solution for Dock Road parking; Supervisor Arsenault replied that the town custodian cleans the Geiger restrooms and Mike Lamphear said there had not been any further discussion of Dock Road parking. Walter Nelson told the board it is difficult to hear proceedings in the Town Hall and asked whether board members could speak louder or install a speaker system.
Lamphear also informed the board that the Raquette Lake Transfer Station will be temporarily located at the Girl’s Camp parking lot on Antlers Road while a new highway garage is built; he asked the board for a shelter solution for the attendant during construction and suggested limiting hours as an option. Todd Clough opposed limiting the transfer station’s hours. Supervisor Arsenault asked Lamphear to meet in the office to discuss a possible temporary rental unit for attendant sheltering. The board adjourned at 7:35 p.m.
