Town Board approves amended tax warrant after Long Lake Fire District levy increases

The resolution notes that the district adopted a tax levy of "$ 998,242.41," which differed from the $953,242.41 shown in the preliminary budget and reflected in the original tax warrant. It "hereby authorizes the Town Supervisor to execute and issue the amended tax warrant for the fiscal year beginning January 1, 2026," and directs the town clerk/tax collector to file and proceed with collection.
Councilman Nathan S. Hosley moved approval, Councilman Thomas L. Donnelly seconded, and the motion was recorded as adopted with Councilman Mark A. Bird, Councilman Donnelly and Councilman Hosley voting Aye. Deputy Supervisor Clark J. Seaman conducted the meeting in the absence of Supervisor Clay Arsenault and is recorded as not voting; the minutes state Seaman "cannot vote, and that if there is a tie vote he cannot be the tie breaker."
First Deputy Town Clerk Amber L. Wamback was listed as the official to receive and file the executed warrant. The amended warrant covers all general, highway, fire district and water district levies as specified in the board's adopted 2026 budget.
