The Long Lake Town Board on Dec. 17 authorized a lease with JTD Realty, LLC for temporary storage space at 208 Route 28 in Raquette Lake to house Highway Department vehicles and equipment while the new Raquette Lake highway garage is constructed. The agreement sets rent at $750 per month for the construction period through May 2026; the town will be responsible for electrical and heating fuel costs and must meet the lease insurance and indemnification requirements.
Councilman Nathan S. Hosley moved the resolution; Councilman Thomas L. Donnelly seconded. The board found the authorization to be a SEQRA Type II action and adopted the resolution unanimously.
The lease is presented as a temporary measure to ensure uninterrupted highway operations and equipment storage during the Raquette Lake garage construction project.
